Academy Training Services is a joint venture between
two freelance training consultants: Marie Stephenson and Fiona Pitt. Combined
we have over 30 years management experience which has enabled us to develop
effective courses to successfully train managers and teams from both public
and private sector organisations. We understand the specific pressures faced
by organisations within today’s ever more competitive marketplace, and
we provide innovative training to help our clients meet increasingly challenging
targets.
Marie Stephenson
Marie began
teaching management in 1999 after 20 years in industry, mainly in the Catering,
Engineering and Construction industries. Marie spent 5 years in France running
an engineering based subsidiary of an English company selling spare parts and
machines. In addition to teaching Management, Marie taught Business Studies
and French at a college of Further Education for 6 years, and she is familiar
with all aspects of Business and Management.
Marie specialises in applying management techniques to a wide variety of disciplines
such as education, and is a fully qualified teacher (Cert Ed)
Fiona Pitt
Fiona is an accomplished leader with 11 years management experience gained
working for a large multinational company within the FMCG marketing industry.
She has an excellent track record of inspiring, motivating and developing people
and has worked across a variety of functions: Marketing, Customer Services,
Human Resources and Operations, delivering significant organisational improvements
at strategic, operational and commercial levels.
Following her move into training consultancy in 2002 Fiona has specialised in
designing and delivering, relevant, creative and engaging learning activities
to bring about lasting professional and personal development across a wide range
of management disciplines. In addition, Fiona has a specific interest and skills
in occupational psychology and welcomes opportunities to support cultural and
behavioural changes in the workplace.
Fiona is a graduate and in addition to holding a Post Graduate Certificate in
Education (PGCE), also has a Masters degree (MSc) in Business Psychology.
